Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist with a strong background in networks and programming to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving our network infrastructure and developing software solutions that integrate with our existing systems. You will work closely with various departments to ensure our IT operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Network Administration & Support: Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and virtual private networks (VPN). Monitor network performance, security, and availability to ensure a high level of operational functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity, firewalls, routers, switches, and security protocols. Configure and manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and ensure optimal performance. Implement and maintain security measures, including intrusion detection systems and antivirus tools. Programming & Software Development: Develop, test, and implement software applications or scripts to support network operations and business functions. Integrate software solutions with existing network infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and data flow. Automate repetitive tasks to optimize operational processes using languages such as Python, Java, or other relevant technologies. Debug, analyze, and fix code defects or bugs in software applications. IT Support: Provide second-level IT support for network, hardware, and software issues for internal teams. Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve complex problems and ensure high-quality support and service. Document troubleshooting procedures, network configurations, and programming code for future reference and compliance. System Security & Optimization: Regularly perform network security assessments and vulnerability testing. Keep systems up to date with the latest patches, security updates, and improvements. Identify opportunities for performance optimization and propose solutions to improve network efficiency and reliability. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and programming. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C, or similar. Strong knowledge of network architecture, TCP/IP protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools. Understanding of cloud technologies and networking in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Familiarity with automation tools and techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds)
